Does CUPS keep the PS files it generates for printing?

You won't have the printer-ready PostScript there, but if you turn
the "PreserveJobFiles" option in cupsd.conf on, e.g.:
cupsctl PreserveJobFiles=Yes
then the "d" files will still be around.
