Ok ladies and gents,

SERVER OS: RHEL4
CUPS version: 1.4.1
BACKGROUND: I required the usage of Net::CUPS perl module and thus couldn't use the system installed version of CUPS for RHEL4 , which is stuck at 1.1.22.
Assistance from Redhat has been asked and they don't want to know.
ISSUE: Having compiled and installed CUPS 1.4.1 and Net::CUPS 0.61 the issue i'm having is trying to print a pdf I get the following errors

If I use pdftops on the command line and do a conversion with a -eps switch and send the resultant postscript to my destination printer I get the output correctly. Sending a test page to the printer ( I've got the correct driver installed ) works also

so its the process/workflow of going from pdf to ps that seems to be failing.

If anyone can suggest a way forward it would be much appreciated.
