CUPS client printjob authentication prompt

Hi,

my scenario:
 - Print-server (ubuntu-server 9.04 with CUPS 1.4.0 + SAMBA + LDAP).
 - Windows client (IPP with authentication)
 - Linux client (Ubuntu 9.04 with CUPS 1.4.0 - IPP and SAMBA printers)
 - MacOSX client

I managed to configure the server and the clients with authentication. It works if I add the "user:password@" in the printer's url at the printers.conf file.

I've tried to configure the printer at the client to prompt for the user/password but it seems that's not working. The printjob stays "Held for authentication". Some of theese clients are personal computers and there is no problem, but there will be few computers in a classroom, different users will be using them.

Is there any special config to do? It's a bug?
