Can't print using both black and color cartridges in 1.4.3

I'm using Mandriva Linux 2010.1 and CUPS 1.4.3 with a HP F2235 all-in-one printer through a USB connection to a laptop. I can't get it to use both color and black cartridges together to give a proper color print.

When printing, there is a choice of either gray or color but not both. I think it worked OK in Mandriva 2009.1 but I can't get it to work now with 2010.1.

Is there a way to change this?
