UFR 2 printing issues

Hi,

I'm using Canon multifunctional laser printer / scanner mf4122 on Arch Linux.

Canon provides linux drivers for download. The same is available on Arch Linux, thru AUR - http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=35405

The Linux driver seems to be flaky. Print commands are sometimes honored, and many a times they are not.

The only recourse is to uninstall and reinstall the printer from CUPS admin page. This happens few times a day, and really sours a otherwise functional linux setup.

Printer functions flawlessly in windows. The windows partition is almost only used when there is lot of stuff to be printed.

If anybody here has any ideas on getting UFR2 linux drivers to behave well, would be more than happy to try them out.
