[cups] Acquire paper and tray info

replying to my own letter, the single-sided expression should read:

echo -en '\033&l0S'

(the "%" was incorrect). Still I'm not suceeding in generating 
single-sided output.  ALso I've tried adding the line:

echo -en '@PJL SET DUPLEX=OFF\n'

in my interfeace script to no avail. What am I missing?
