If not, is there a good place to request support for them and/or contract the creation of such?

Justin,

I tried to get the programmer’s manuals for the printers but was only partially successful.
If you happen to have these, please mail them to me off the list (helgeblischke at web.de).

As far as I know right now, both printers offer Epson and IBM emulations which include
graphics capabilities, but if these emulations can be used as is depends on the details
(the dot matrix printer support by CUPS filters is fairly sparse).

If you need a filter tailored to your needs, let me know if text mode is sufficient, or do you need
graphics support as well, which I think, is feasible with not too much work.

If you need an offer from me, note that you need to prerequisites from the open source
community:
–	Perl (5.83 or higher), which is one of the easiest to use programming (scripting) languages,
–	Ghostscript (any version >= 7.00) if you need graphics support.

You can contact me via
<helgeblischke at web.de>
or
<h.blischke at acm.org>
off the list, if you want.

Regards,

Helge
