Have you run nmap from your Linux desktop to see what ports show as open?

For example:

 	sudo nmap -O -sV -sU -sS your.printer.ip.here

This will take several minutes.

There isn't a remote access list that's been configured on the printer,
is there?  That would restrict what IPs the printer will accept print
jobs from.
