[cups] server-error-multiple-document-jobs-not-supported

Today I got a strange issue. A document failed to print with the error above. I didn't know what to do so I paused and resumed the printer and the job went through without doing anything else.
I was wondering why it worked after resume, without further actions. Can this lock be avoidable with settings? Thanks
