[cups] "Unable to add document to print job."

Attempting to print to a Canon MG3620 wirelessly using ipp (not ipps)
with the driverless driver under Fedora Linux 39 fully updated.

Printing with lpr works flawlessly. Printing from a web browser, GIMP,
or other programs used to work until about two weeks ago. When printing
fails, changing to print to a file and then printing the file with lpr
works perfectly. On the first attempt, the printer activates and seems
like it is about to print but then stops. Thereafter, the printer makes
no response to failed print jobs. The error always is the same as said
in the subject of this message, "Unable to add document to print job."
The result does not depend on the size of the file to be printed.

No filesystems are full or nearly so. The error log has no additional
information except that the jobs were canceled (but not by me).

A different printer, a Canon TR7000, also connected wirelessly, does
not exhibit this problem.
