Problems printing from Mac OS X 10.1 to Linux

Everything works fine on the Linux machine. I can print 
PostScript/pdf/whatever files using the command lpr from the shell and 
get the desired result.

When I try to print from the Mac OS X machine the printer prints the 
postscript source. So obviously when I print from the Mac the output 
from the Mac is not passed through CUPS' filters. On the Mac the printer 
is just configured as TCP/IP printer and uses the standard queue on the 
server. On the frontend there aren't anymore options.

Could anybody, please, give me a hint on how to force CUPS to pass the 
input coming from the Mac through its filters.
