Dot Matrix: Lexmark 4227

  I want to setup CUPS to print to Lexmark 4227 dot matrix printer.
I believe it will print raw text, which is our preference. 
Can I set CUPS to send raw text to it via network (lpd:// style) ?

I have /etc/cups/mime.types and mime.convs set correctly.
The problem with the epson emulators is that they have way too much
margins, and I can't seem to figure out the PPDs to fix that.
Its just not working. 

 Also, I want to setup the local CUPS systems that talk to our main CUPS print
server to just forward all print jobs without modification. I can do this with
CUPS on the clients?
