Backend without raster filter

Hi,
I am trying to develop backend using libusb without raster filter.I tried opening the rasterOpen inside the backend.Since the argument count is 6,fd is 0 .I am not getting any raster data while reading through cupsRasterReadPixels.I am trying to read rasterdata inside the print_device function in custom usb backend .What could be the reason that my rasterData contains no data.I am trying this from more than one week.
