HP Universal Driver IPP

Hello,

I am running a CUPS Server with two HP LaserJet Printers over IPP.
The printer models are one LaserJet 4250 and one Color LaserJet 4650.

When I install the IPP Printers on a Windows XP or Windows 7 client machine, Windows asks me for a driver. When the driver is available in the driver list Windows provides the user, then the installation completes and printing over IPP works perfectly fine.

Now the problem is, that in some cases the correct driver is not available in that list (seems to depend on the Windows Version of the client machine) and you need to select a file to install the driver.
To solve that problem, I want to use the HP Universal Driver for every client.

The HP Universal Driver is a package with several .inf files, choosing any of them results in the HP Universal Driver (PCL6 Version for me) being installed. But when trying to print, a HP GUI window appears, asking the user to choose a printer. Entering the IPP Address of the printers does not work here.

Does anyone know how to solve this?
Is there another way to solve the driver list issue?
