[cups] Printing Colours

If the printer is still trying to print with an empty cartridge, it may not know itself whether the ink is empty or not.

I would initiate a nozzle clean and do a nozzle test print. That should show the four base colors (CMYK) separately. It's probably cyan that's clogged/empty, based on what you described.
